Is Katie Zacharia guilty of Unauthorized Practice of Law?

Has Katie Zacharia been practicing law without a license?

Katie Zacharia has openly stated that she has been practicing law…saying that she has been in the position as “general counsel” for a number of entities.

But there is absolutely no record of Katie Zacharia having passed the bar exam anywhere in the United States.

So doesn’t that make Katie Zacharia guilty of Unauthorized Practice of Law?

Unauthorized Practice of Law (UPL) is governed by court rules in every individual state, but is also covered by Rule 5.5 of the American Bar Association. UPL is a criminal offense that prohibits giving legal advice, representing someone in court proceedings, drafting binding legal documents without oversight of a licensed attorney, and, most of all, holding oneself out as a lawyer.

Ms. Zacharia claims that she was told that she could use the term “attorney” rather than “lawyer” and that would be sufficient. It’s not. It’s an intentional deception. And she states that she was acting as an attorney, a lawyer, legal counsel…whatever you want to call it…without a license to practice law.

Katie Zacharia is standing up as a spokesperson for the Trump administration and she is a phony…committing a crime…guilty of the unauthorized practice of law.

Let’s see who will be the first to hit her with that.
